WeAreTheCity India opens for business in Bangalore! Caroline Graham

WATC-Bangalore-Banner2WeAreTheCity India – the website for connecting and inspiring professional women in India – is expanding its platform to include a local Bangalore offering.

Launched in May 2014, WATC India has been promoting the achievements of entrepreneurial and professional women across India through features, blogs, interviews and spotlights.

The new Bangalore site will feature women living and working in Bangalore, as well as provide a local resource for events, training programmes and NGOs in the area.

Caroline Graham, Head of WeAreTheCity India, said:

India is such a diverse country that we felt it was an obvious next step to provide localised content. A demographically diverse city, Bangalore is a major economic hub and the fastest growing metropolis in India. It seemed like a great place to start! This is just the first of many local branches we hope to set up. We are already working on Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad so watch this space!

The Bangalore team will be led by two local women, Puja Kohli and Neela Kishore – both successful entrepreneurs from Bangalore and both dedicated to empowering women.

Puja Kohli is a People and Change Catalyst and Founder of Unfold Consulting. Puja said:

It’s a pleasure to be associated with WATC India as it is a meaningful and inspiring platform for women keen to hear from role models and get insights about the cities they belong to. This platform provides an awareness of the larger eco system that impacts our lives and allows us to learn from diverse journeys that women in leadership positions have taken.

Neela Kishore specialises in OD & Talent Transformation and is Founder Director of Advaya Humanistic Systems Pvt. Ltd. Neela commented:

I am energised and excited to be a part of WATC Bangalore!  This is an unique opportunity to connect and engage with women from all walks of life and to contribute meaningfully to co-creating a vibrant community! Empowering women is close to my heart and I am sure that my association with WATC will transform my passion into a concrete reality.
