08/03/2015 – CARE International’s Walk In Her Shoes

Walk In Her Shoes imageJoin us on 8 March 2015 in celebrating International Women’s Day and launching Walk In Her Shoes on our Women’s Day Walk.

We will have a performance from London’s premier West African music and dance ensemble, Wuntanara, and hear inspiring speeches from leading female figures before Helen and Laura Pankhurst lead our walk through London.

If you want to come together with like-minded people on International Women’s Day, then join us for this free event and show your support for women and girls in the poorest countries.

Join us as we unite in solidarity with women across the globe whose basic freedoms and rights to live a decent and fulfilling life continue to be in jeopardy.

Last year we were joined by hundreds of CARE supporters, we had speeches from women’s rights campaigners Helen Pankhurst and the Secretary of State for International Development Justine Greening, and special guests including Emily Thornberry MP, Radio presenter Sandi Toksvig, Laura Bates (founder of Everyday Sexism Project) and Caroline Criado-Perez to name a few. Plus we made it onto ITV and Channel 4, and our #WIHS hashtag trended on Twitter.

We hope you can join us this year and help to make it bigger and better than ever before.
