Christine Brown-Quinn: Author of “The Dynamic Duo of Career & Family – A Perfect Combination for a Happy and Fulfilled Life”
Brief Bio: Christine’s mission is to empower young women to have the confidence to combine career & family, as well as to support organisations in their efforts to promote women in business. Her inspiration comes from balancing her own high-powered career in international banking with an active family life for over 20 years.
She has 3 children and a spouse, with an equally demanding career, and knows how to strike the right balance between career goals and family aspirations, using a common set of values, strategies and skill sets. Christine has an undergraduate degree in Foreign Languages from Georgetown University and an MBA in International Business from George Washington University. She has studied and worked in the US, UK, Germany and Sweden.
Maria Di Pietro: Balancing Travel/Family/Life and a Senior Executive Career
Brief Bio: Maria DiPietro is the Chief Operations, Technology and Quality Leader for GE Capital EMEA. In this role, which combines the traditional business roles of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Quality Officer and Sourcing Leader, Maria leads a team of over 1,300professionals across EMEA in driving simplification, standardisation, operational excellence and best in class digitisation solutions on a commercial finance portfolio of $45B.
Prior to assuming her current position, Maria was the Managing Director, Global Risk Operations for Corporate Financial Services. She was responsible for driving operational excellence and portfolio conversions to mitigate operational and credit risks while delivering measurable value to the organization and its customers.
Previously, Maria was the Quality Leader for Equipment Management and Sourcing VP for GE Capital Corporate Sourcing. Maria joined GE Capital Card Services in 1991 where she held a variety of roles in Operations.
Maria has served as the Co-Chair for the GE Women’s Network and remains an active member. Maria earned her Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Maria currently resides in London with her husband and two daughters.
Excel Training Group– Rob Hayes: Skills Demonstration for Time Organisation
Brief Bio: After a successful background in Sales and Management, working in the UK and the USA, Rob joined Excel Communications in 1995 as a trainer and business developer. He was appointed a Director in 1998 and became Managing Director in 2005 after completing a successful buy-out of the company. He has been instrumental in the recent record growth and development of the Excel Communications Group.
During his 15 years with Excel Communications, he has developed a substantial client base, whilst also being renowned as a trainer, facilitator and leadership coach. He believes learning should be challenging, enjoyable and result focused and is recognised as an engaging speaker.
Rob is an NLP Master Practitioner, a Master Trainer for Power with Groups, Presentation Excellence and a number of other programmes. He also trains other trainers. He has a range of other training certifications and has been lead judge for the UK Sales Presenter of the Year and a lead judge at the Pharmaceutical Sales Awards. He is also a qualified sports coach.
