1992- The group was renamed Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF) to reflect the changes and the diversification of its members.

The banking industry had changed dramatically, not only were women now an integral part of the industry but the banking industry was changing too with financial service companies moving into banking and vice versa.

The new breed of women still required support and training. In response, the Group’s primary aim developed into providing a forum for women in the financial services industry to meet, share experiences, develop themselves, personally and professionally, and equally, it was important to develop others.
