WeAreTechnology, the Technology arm of WeAreTheCity is hosting its first full day conference for female technologists in London. 

This conference is aimed at women in the tech sector who are looking to broaden their technology horizons, learn new skills and build their technology networks.

The full day conference includes the opportunity for delegates to learn about a broad range of technology topics as well as getting involved with Q&A’s, hands-on activities and interactive workshops.

In addition event partners include WISE, STEMettes, Women in Technology Network, BCS Women, techUK and the Cyber Security Challenge UK.

Morning speakers include Kate Russell, BBC Click Presenter and Author, Jacqueline D’Rojas, Executive at Citrix and President of techUK, Anne Marie Imafidon, Founder of STEMettes, Michelle Moody, Engagement Director, Insights and Data at Capgemini UK, Stephanie Daman, CEO of Cyber Security Challenge UK, Dr Sue Black, Author of Saving Bletchley Park and Government Digital Services Advisor. These speakers will also take part in a panel discussion, which will be facilitated by Kate Russell.

Throughout lunch attendees will have the opportunity to meet Dr Sue Black during a book signing of “Saving Bletchley Park”.

The afternoon will see elective sessions where delegates can choose from an overview of Fintech and emerging trends, by Julia Streets, Founder and CEO of Streets Consulting, An introduction to coding, by Dr Sue Black or Innovation in tech.

Three more sessions will follow with the choice between The Internet of Everything, by Eileen Brown, CEO of Amastra, Up in the cloud: An overview of cloud computing and Get Agile in the Application Economy, by Ritu Mahandru, Vice President, Agile Management, EMEA, CA Technologies.

The afternoon will also include a Women Lighting the Way career advice panel, which will include Maggie van’T Hoff, CIO, Shell, Christina Scott, CTO, News UK, Jane Bell, Barclays and Michael Keegan, Chairman, UK & Ireland Region, Fujitsu.

The conference will finish with a session on Tech role models: Paying IT forward and inspiring future technologists.

The day will close with networking drinks and canapés.
