Why would you need a life coach?

A life coach is an individual who supports and encourages you to fulfill your potential and really make the most of your life. A life coach can help to empower you to take control of certain areas of your life, for example, career, confidence/self belief, finances, health, relationships, spirituality and/or work/life balance.

People enlist the services of a coach because they want to improve their situations and achieve goals. They want to learn new ways of thinking and approaching situations, in order to get better results. Common goals might be being more organised and effective at work, gaining confidence in certain situations, or simply relating to other people more effectively.

Why would you need an Corporate/ Executive Coach?

Executive Coaching concentrates on an organisation’s key assets, its people – both as individuals and as team members – and brings about profound changes at every level.

  • It helps your organisation – to achieve business objectives through greater empowerment and clarity of strategic direction to develop, communicate and act collaboratively
  • It helps you! –  by releasing your potential to innovate and to think at a higher level within a corporate environment.

Do you want to train to be a coach?

The idea of becoming a life coach is becoming increasingly popular. It is an interesting job that is both flexible and if successful one that can be highly rewarding both financially and personally. The majority of life coaches are self employed working on a freelance basis and usually supporting themselves through working for a small number of clients. The career offers a lot of freedom as many life coaches work from home via the telephone and internet.  Self discipline and motivation as well as strong networking skills are all highly important. Though there are examples of people who are good at motivating people naturally, a strong desire to positively change other peoples lives is of course a massive advantage.

Selecting the right coach training programme can be a challenging process – especially with over 20 ICF training schools in the UK and a various other options offered by business schools and educational bodies.
