We are delighted to welcome 2 exceptional PA speakers from Scotland & Ireland to this very special evening!

Jacqui QuigleyJacqui Quigley, PA PWC Ireland & PA of the Year All-Ireland 2014

Since obtaining her degree in Media and Communications from the University of Wolverhampton in 2004, Jacqui has worked as a PA in various industries including Banking, Education and Finance for almost 10 years.  She is now currently an EA and Event Coordinator in Pricewaterhouse Coopers where she has worked since 2008. Her role has seen much change and growth throughout the years, from a Team Administrator to PA then to EA. She now currently supports 3 Partners and a team of 35 people within the Asset Management Industry.  Her role is very diverse, working on anything from diary management, proposal and report writing to event management and client liaision. In her event management role she organises large corporate breakfast briefings as well as team activity days. She also supervises a small team of PAs in her role as PA Coordinator, this ensures a smooth running of the tax practice.

Gail Welsh, PA at Colleges Scotland & ACE’s/Hays Scottish PA of the Year 2014

After winning the Secretarial Student of the Year in 1976, Gail’s introduction to the secretarial world was as a copy typist in a typing pool at Standard Life. From there, Gail moved to become a Secretary at Heriot-Watt University and then onto a 10 year period in The Scotsman newspaper, where she held various positions including PA to the Assistant Managing Director. Following that, she became an Office Manager in the market research and document management fields.

In 2009, Gail relocated to Stirling and after a period of temporary working, she embarked on her 14.5 year career at Colleges Scotland.  She started as the Web Administrator and culminated in the post of PA to Chief Executive.

Gail is also Founder of ESPA, The Education Sector PA Network, which brings together Senior Executive PAs in the Scottish higher and further education sectors and in stakeholder organisations.

Although born in Edinburgh, Gail now lives in Stirling with her husband and two cats. Her interest include holidays abroad and eating out.

Gail and Jacqui will be sharing with us their incredible and inspiring career stories, how they came to their respective PA of the Year Awards and those all important top tips to truly excel in your role.

We are also delighted to welcome back British Beauty Brand ‘Balance Me’ who will be showcasing their fantatic range of products to PAs.

Polly comes from the competitive world of consulting and finance, with a Cambridge PhD in Molecular Biology and an MBA from London Business School. In July 2013, Management Today voted Polly one of ‘35 Women Under 35’.

Polly’s love of fashion was the inspiration to create a chic new brand for professional women.  The concept of The Fold is about understanding the professional woman’s needs in her daily life and trying to create a stylish, contemporary wardrobe for her with a particular focus around work.

Miranda Brawn, Barrister and Brand Ambassador of The Fold London, (CWN Events Committee Member) will conduct an informal Q&A session with Polly.

The evening will start with some networking drinks followed by a talk with Polly and Miranda, ending with an opportunity to browse the collection, shop and enjoy some complimentary beauty treatments.
