Man Group, one of the world’s largest independent alternative investment managers, is partnering with Women Returners to launch a 2016 returnship programme for an investment management professional who has taken an extended career break and now wants to return to the workforce on a permanent basis.

At the end of the three months, there will be the possibility of a permanent role with the organisation.

Man Group is open to receiving applications from people who want to work flexibly. Whilst they are particularly interested to hear from females who have chosen to pause their careers and are now ready to return to work, they are keen to emphasise that the programme is open to all professionals who have taken a period of extended leave.

Diversity at Man Group

Achieving a better balance between male and female employees is a challenge many financial services organisations face and is a key priority for Man Group. As a firm, they strongly believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce. They are actively seeking to increase female representation throughout the firm and are dedicated to implementing recruitment initiatives that work to meet this objective. They are confident that their current multifaceted approach will enable them to further develop a culture based on meritocracy that focuses on talent, commitment, diligence and teamwork.

There are currently a number of initiatives in place to support and encourage female talent at Man Group. They continue to develop Drive, an internal network with an ongoing programme of events to inform and support women within the firm, providing networking opportunities both internally and externally. Alongside this initiative, they are also working to develop a mentoring programme aimed at supporting and retaining female talent. They are also committed to increasing female participation in their graduate programme, targeting university courses and clubs within relevant disciplines that will help inform their targeted recruitment.
