Overall purpose

Lloyd’s Treasury & Investment Management provide specialist fixed income investment management services to the Lloyd’s market, on a discretionary basis to Managing Agents and as the manager of Lloyd’s centralised trust fund assets and the Central Fund. The department has approaching £7bn of funds under management which are domiciled in a number of different countries around the world. The majority of funds are managed by the in house team of investment managers.

The Operations team are responsible for ensuring that all transactions placed by the in house team are settled on time, all central and client accounts are reconciled appropriately and any errors or omissions are reported and resolved in a timely manner. The Senior Operations Executives will work alongside an Operations Executive to settle and reconcile all transactions on a daily basis and works as a cover for Operations Team Leader in her absence.The OpportunityOur aim is to attract the best talent and provide an accelerated career path for the progression of high achievers.

Major responsibilities and accountabilities

12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Daily reconciliation of treasury activity and balances

  • Ensure accurate records of treasury transactions are maintained and agree with custodian records;
  • Perform treasury internal reconciliations and able to guide the operations executive to resolve any reconciliation related issues and appropriate investigation and escalation;

Standing Data

  • Maintain treasury management system standing data for all counterparties, entities and resolution of related issues;
  • Assist with communication of changes in standing data to counterparties;

Compliance

  • Ensure that all portfolios comply with defined parameters at all times;
  • Monitor outstanding risk exposures and liaise with Treasury Front Office to ensure that these are properly controlled;
  • Frequent checking of credit ratings to ensure financial stability of counterparties;
  • Prepare compliance, risk and activity reports;

Commingled Investment Accounts

  • Monitoring and accurate processing of commingled instructions received from various Lloyds syndicates;

Middle office

  • Ensure payments are processed within deadlines and resolution of any issues;
  • Resolving settlement queries and processing claims by and against counterparties when settlements or other receipts are not received on the due date;
  • Ensure that settlement instructions for all approved transactions are sent within defined deadlines and provide guidance to operations executive in case of any settlement related issues;
  • Escalation of failing trades to Front office and Management;
  • Contribute to new treasury projects;
