WeAreTheCity are proud to launch our WeAreHeForShe section which is dedicated to giving a voice to men who actively support equality and women in the workplace.
The UN launched the HeForShe campaign in September 2014 at an event hosted by UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson. The call of the campaign was to mobilise men and boys to support gender equality. The campaign has been hugely successful and has given a voice to 1000’s of men who actively support women in terms of their beliefs, projects and actions.
WeAreTheCity agrees with the UN’s goal of having more men and boys engaged with women’s rights as part of the gender equality debate and we want to help to give those men a voice.
Through this section we will be sharing a series of interviews with men across a range of industries, all of which clearly demonstrate their support for women and the HeForShe campaign.
In line with International Men’s Day, we are honoured to publish the first of our interviews. Long may these men continue to challenge and change the culture within their own companies and across their industries.
