Are you ready to be an inspiration? | Become a ‘big sister’ with Girls Out Loud

big sister logo, girls out loud Girls Out Loud are looking for big sisters to work with a group of girls from Blessed Edward Jones Catholic High School in Rhyl, North Wales.

Their core programme is a 12 month mentoring programme for 14 year old girls called Big Sister. Here they recruit and train women from all walks of life and all ethnic backgrounds to be a mentor to a young girl for a year.

The time commitment is around 18 hours a year and is made up of an hour one-to-one meeting with your Little Sister each month at the school, plus some group sessions. Full training is given and takes place on Saturday 5th March and the launch takes place on 9th March – you must be available for both dates in order to participate.

The impact of Big Sister programme sees a 100 per cent confidence improvement in the young participants. Young girls begin to find and recognise their potential and greatness and start to becoming excited about their future.
