The Silver Line are launching a brand new social media campaign!
They believe that no one should have to spend Christmas alone. Last year they were unable to answer more than 5,000 calls due to the huge demand, but just £5 can enable them to answer a call from someone who needs them. That’s why they’re launching Foam Alone!
They want to challenge people of any age to foam up their face with a Father Christmas style beard, so older people don’t have to spend Christmas home alone.
STEP ONE: Grab some shaving foam and create your very own Father Christmas beard. This is your chance to be creative!
STEP TWO: Post your photo or video to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #FoamAlone.
STEP THREE: Donate £5 to The Silver Line by texting FOAMALONE to 70660.
STEP FOUR: Nominate two of your friends to join in and do the same.
How you can help
They need as many people as possible to get involved and share your pictures online using the hashtag #FoamAlone. They’re looking forward to seeing your photos and videos!

Facebook/Instagram: I’m taking part in the #FoamAlone challenge because I don’t think any older person should spend Christmas alone. The Silver Line is the UK’s only 24 hour, free and confidential helpline for vulnerable and isolated older people, open every day and night of the year. Last Christmas more than 5,000 calls were unanswered due to the huge demand. It costs just £5 for The Silver Line to answer a call. I’ve donated £5 by texting FOAMALONE to 70660.
