Get ready for National Work Life Week | Coming to your workplace from 2 – 6 October 2017

national work life week

National Work Life Week is fast approaching and employers and employees across the UK are making plans to mark the week.

The week is an annual campaign run by Working Families, the UK’s work life balance charity and its aim is to shine a light on the importance of wellbeing at work and work life fit. Employers can take the opportunity to show their people (and potential employees) how they are building a family friendly and flexible working culture for all.

Employers of all sizes and sectors take part in the week. Take a look at how Public Health England and Sky marked the week in 2016 with a range of activities for their colleagues.

Working Families has put together a very helpful employers’ toolkit to inspire you with ideas on how you can take part. Ideas include: showcasing your flexible workers and flexible policies; putting on a special in-house event on work life balance or flexible working; press releasing your activities for the week; or asking a senior colleague to share their tips on work life balance. If you are planning to mark the event, please do tag @WorkingFamUK with #worklifeweek – Working Families would love to hear about what is happening at workplaces across the UK.
