They especially don’t want to be at the top of their game simply through any of the three life-sucking Ss: Struggle, Self-sacrifice or having to become Superwoman!

Tell us a bit about yourself, background and what you do currently

As a full-time executive and mother to four children, who over the last 20 years have lived and worked all over the world, I believe that every woman has the right to a fulfilling career, or run a successful business AND be a great mum!

My corporate background is as a business consultant and project manager. I have also set up my own offline and online businesses, and qualified as a personal transformation life coach and small business coach. My whole adult life has been a quest to understand the formula for successfully combining sustainable success with a passion for being a great mother!  The good news…it exists!  The bad news…there is no cookie cutter solution, which is why I founded CEO Mums in 2013 and developed my unique career, business and lifestyle VIP coaching programmes to help professional mothers to achieve the success in career and business they really want AND create a family lifestyle they really LOVE.

Who are CEO Mums?

CEO Mums are professional women who want to make a great living doing what they love and are equally passionate about being a great mother.

The women I work with through my VIP programmes and the members of the online/offline CEO Mums community all have one thing in common, they want to take charge of their success in business and career, but they don’t want to compromise on being a great mum.  They especially don’t want to be at the top of their game simply through any of the three life-sucking Ss: Struggle, Self-sacrifice or having to become Superwoman!

Raising four wonderful children who have become such incredibly confident, mature, successful and balanced young people; they simply blow my mind on a daily basis!

What is special about the CEO Mums community?

CEO Mums is a fledging community of around 150 professional mothers, and it’s growing every day, particularly the women who are thinking of becoming their own boss and starting up their own business who join our CEO Mums Business Club.

There’s magic when a group of like-minded women come together, who share common values around motherhood and a desire to start and grow a business they’re passionate about. These are all women seeking to create lifestyles that give them the flexibility and balance for raising great kids and making a difference through their work. The group is collaborative, supportive and non-judgmental.

There’s been a lot of focus in the media on the rising numbers of women, particularly mothers, who choose to start up their own business; attracted by the freedom and flexibility that having their own business promises.  The unique vision behind CEO Mums and the work we do has already attracted media attention, with our very first London “More than Networking” business event and our founding members being featured in a TV documentary called ‘Powerful Women’ in Celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was on a personal level, when I spent a period as a single mother (let’s be honest, nobody ever imagines this will happen to them).  I was working full-time as COO to a high-tech company based in Mauritius and logistically and emotionally it was the most challenging time of my life.  I have since gone on to rebuild my family life, and was blessed to be given the additional challenges of bringing together four children under one roof with my loving partner, raising step-children as my own, and rebuilding an incredible blended family together.

What’s been your greatest achievement personally?

Raising four wonderful children who have become such incredibly confident, mature, successful and balanced young people; they simply blow my mind on a daily basis!

If you weren’t doing what you do, what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t coaching the incredible professional mothers in my VIP programmes or running events for the CEO Mums business club members, it’s very difficult to imagine doing anything else that I would be so passionate about.  I believe my entire professional and personal life has been a journey towards founding CEO Mums and the work I do.  If I had to imagine life without CEO Mums, I know that to be totally fulfilled I need to be making a difference through my work. I would probably get involved with some amazing charity work (similar to Gingerbread who I support currently, which runs a great programme helping single parents get back in the workforce).

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

I find there is a source of inspiration in every person that comes in to my life; the simplest of things that others can share, say or do can add so much value, learning and richness to our own journey and development as a professional, a mother and a woman.  Since founding CEO Mums, I’d have to say my biggest inspiration comes from witnessing the transformation, growth and success of my VIP clients and the inspiration that comes from being part of a community of women who all share a passion for success and a deep love for their children.

What does the future hold for you?

Continuing my VIP coaching programmes helping more professional mothers with career, business and lifestyle; launching my forthcoming book ““Small Business, Big Success, Great Lifestyle” and bringing our London-based monthly “More than networking” events for business mothers to more locations across the South East.
