Summary

  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to integrate in a team of senior analysts, and provide high quality support

Main responsibilities

  • support senior rating advisory analysts by preparing rating advisory input into different product pitches (peer group analysis, industry analysis, etc.)
  • adopt primary responsibility for internal rating feedback with regards to LNI and High Yield groups
  • be team member of any rating advisory mandate execution, including direct client contact and interaction with the rating agencies
  • be in charge of special assignments such as industry studies by the rating agencies, methodology updates/changes, etc

  • all work will be supervised by more senior members of team before it is forwarded to any outside party
  • with increasing experience the individual will be able to handle projects more by themselves so that more senior people will only have to get involved towards the end of the project
  • answer simple rating questions on the phone by internal teams, but no direct client contact without supervision

Internal & external contacts

  • first six months contacts will be restricted to interaction with internal clients where senior member is present
  • after six months with the appropriate experience the candidate could start having their own rating discussions on relatively generic issues
  • On all more complex issues, the individual would still be supported by a more senior member of the team for at least the first two years
  • Other than that the candidate would only have contact with clients and the rating agencies for the first two years or so only when more senior members are present

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education

  • University degree or equivalent

Past experience

  • Work experience within a financing driven environment, ideally in different roles
  • Work experience in an English speaking working environment

Languages

  • French
  • English

Technical skills

  • Good understanding and fluency in Microsoft office, with a focus on excel
  • Modeling expertise
  • Basic understanding of credit analysis

Personal abilities

  • commercial attitude
