WeAreTheCity is proud to unveil WeAre:FutureLeaders, our latest conference aimed at supporting the female pipeline of future leaders.

The full day event offers practical upskilling and networking opportunities for the female talent pipeline to progress and to position themselves for future leadership roles across a multitude of industries.

The conference is being hosted by Simmons & Simmons and is supported by EDIT Development. WeAreFutureLeaders is also proud to support its charity partner SmartWorks.

150 females will gather at Simmons & Simmons, in London, to hear from a range of expert panellists including Andy Woodfield, Partner at PwC, Heather Melville, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Head of Business Inclusion Initiatives, and Tamara Box, Global Chair, Financial Industry Group at Reed Smith.

A full list of speakers can be found here.

In addition, Sophie Walker, Leader of the Women’s Equality Party, will give the event’s opening address.

The event will cover the following topics, all of which aim to enhance our attendees skillset as they progress in their careers.

  • WeAreNot Imposters dispels imposter phenomenon and prepares the individual to acknowledge achievements, leave their comfort zones and enter into a mindset of taking risks.
  • WeAreNegotiators – an interactive session that teaches the core skills required to successfully negotiate your own career needs, as well as ensuring the best deals are achieved for your firms and when dealing with third parties.
  • WeAreCommunicators – covers a multitude of practical advice to enable clear and confident communication (at all levels) in a way that ensures being heard and understood.
  • WeAreInfluencers – focuses on the ability to influence senior individuals around you so they see your potential. Include tips on how to influence senior stakeholders with business cases, taking forward your ideas and allowing you to show your true capability.

Keynote speeches will transition into elective sessions of the delegate’s choice, culminating in two sessions: “You as a future leader” and “So how do YOU get there! (a panel session)”. The day will end with an opportunity to be speed mentored by a number of senior individuals.
