Leading women from across Mumbai turned out for WeAreTheCity India’s annual flagship event on Tuesday 4th November.
Hosted by event partner Marriott Hotels at their landmark venue JW Marriott Juhu, the event entitled, ‘Polish your Profile and Enhance your Career’ was led by WeAreTheCity CEO and Founder, Vanessa Vallely.
During her key note speaker session, Vanessa spoke passionately about the importance of networking, developing relationships and connecting women, as key techniques for advancing in your career.
Vanessa also provided advice on developing your profile using the platforms available and how to use online media to your advantage when building your own brand.
Vanessa said, “It was a pleasure to address such an enthusiastic and driven set of women. I am always inspired by the success stories of the women I meet in India and the passion and determination they have for reaching their goals. I hope to have helped them advance in their career path in some small way and look forward to hearing about their achievement via WeAreTheCity India in the future.”
Sabrina Khan, Senior Marketing Officer at Jaguar Land Rover India, said: “It was a great pleasure to attend the WATC India event. I highly appreciate the effort made by the WATC team to inspire women. The platform not only motivates but encourages women to take the first step.”
The event was attended by senior leads from sponsor EY, and by representatives from the JW Mariott Juhu, including general Manager Pavithran Nambiar.
Also attending the event selling their wares were four female entrepreneurs recently featured on the site; Tattva, Indie Eco Candles, Dhoop and Iford Manor Teas.
