Wonderful Christmas readings

I love Christmas: the decorations – of which I make some of my own; the lights; the traditions; baking special cakes and dishes for Christmas; the Christmas music – I know so many Christmas carols and the celebrations. The faces of your friends and family when they open your carefully selected presents. Receiving cards from friends and remembering them; and wonderful presents!

Dickens Christmas

I also enjoy reading and listening to great stories and descriptions of Christmas past. Every year I read Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” and love listening to Christmas poetry. I used to enjoy reading ” The Night before Christmas” before my son went to sleep on Christmas Eve. I very much doubt I’ll do this now, since he’s taller than me and 14!

There are some wonderful descriptions of Christmas; the preparations in the kitchen and carol singing as well as specific stories and poetry. In this week’s Superstar communicator podcast I share my favourite readings from George Elliott, Shakespeare, Dylan Thomas and of course “The Night before Christmas”. Enjoy.
